The photo shows a 12m heavy duty storage yard gate which needs to be opened regularly and reliably. The gate weighs well in excess of 1200 Kg and being so long required a high speed Industrial slider to be incorporated.

The GDS 630 was selected for the task. Due to being right on the seafront the other advantage was the stainless steel cover over the drive motor and controls.

For extra protection for the controls, they are mounted in a sealed enclosure apart from the venting for the inverter fan.
