Manuele’s doors
Automating large sliding doors requires specialized operators, the doors shown in the photo for a large engineering workshop required some custom drive units.
The operators were fitted on the inside of the building with the pinion drive wheel extending through the concrete slab wall to the rack mounted on the inside of the door.
The controls were set up as ‘dead-man’ meaning while the open or close button was held down the doors would drive, if the button was released the door would stop, then certainly when the doors reached the final open and closed position, the limits automatically turned the drives off.
The controls were inverter driven, thereby providing a smooth ramp up and ramp down operation.
